Name: Iratus (likely an alias, as it's the Latin word for 'angry')
History:
While Iratus has a great deal of personality, his history is not explored much. What is known is that something made him incredibly, unbelievably, incomprehensibly pissed off. If this happened before or after he became the greatest necromancer in history is not clear- but all that matters is his control of the undead, and deadly dark magic brought the world to its knees. He almost conquered the world and eradicated life, when four heroes struck him down.
Impossible to truly kill, Iratus was sealed in a tomb deep under the earth. He remained there for a millennium, growing more bored and more annoyed. When a few hapless treasure hunters freed him, Iratus resumed his war on life.
He immediately began a military campaign against the surface world, having to fight his way through the corrupt prisons, mines and church defences to once more see the sun.
Personality:
Iratus is fucking pissed. What exactly it is that made him so goddamn mad, I can't tell you, but he's furious. In his words 'I need nothing but my anger to purge this world.' Many of his abilities revolve around his wrath and he just plain can't stand that there are people alive at all. It makes him mad that there are people out there, beyond his control, just. Living, like degenerates.
That said, Iratus' anger is not typically the frothing at the mouth, wild ferocity type. It's a cool, razor's edge of rage that both gets mad and gets even. While the anger never goes away, it's often just below the surface. It can make it seem like he has mood swings since he's often quite jovial at a glance. But every straw is the last straw, and the smallest thing might set him off.
Due to the way his anger has twisted him, he has developed quite a sadistic nature. He approaches spreading death and suffering with glee, enjoying it immensely. It's just about the only thing which can soothe his savage rage, and he has a well developed dark sense of humour. He usually has a comical comment for any situation, though generally regarding gruesome subject matter.
Iratus has a colossal ego, always willing to toot his own horn and often acting quite vain. He frequently makes comments about how great he is, and a lot of it is about how good he looks.
Abilities:
An immortal undead of imprecise type, he is usually just referred to as a necromancer. He can only be temporarily inconvenienced by being killed, as he has mastered death. He can, however, be sealed away.
A powerful magic user in general, Iratus is his world's greatest necromancer. A mere wave of his hand can animate the dead, and he can even create buildings from parts of corpses without trouble. But when he has quality materials (i.e. body parts), he puts in more effort and can create beings with fully developed personalities. Iratus usually lets his underlings do the fighting for him, but he can channel his magic and anger through them at a distance. He is not limited to animating corpses and commands numerous types of spirit, able to manipulate mysterious forces from beyond the void. Outside of necromancy, he's nothing to sneeze at, but he does play to his strengths. He can throw fireballs, assault minds with horrors, brainwash people, heal wounds, manipulate luck and other such 'it's magic, don't worry about it' things. He's a master alchemist, though true to form he focuses on turning body parts into useful items and other stuff into body parts.
Though not his preferred manner of combat, he is superhumanly strong, able to punch through stone walls.
